She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Music Studies, University of Athens, Greece. She studied Music (BMus Hons) and Artificial Intelligence (MSc) at Edinburgh University. Her PhD, also in Edinburgh, was on computational and cognitive modelling of music analysis. She has taught at the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Queen’s Belfast, where she became a permanent lecturer in 2005, and led the Music Informatics and Cognition research group. She joined the Department of Music Studies in Athens in 2006.
