Subject, Techniques and Methods (Ethnomusicology)

This paper concerns the field of Ethnomusicology and refers to its object, methods and techniques. With this text Musicology completes the presentation of the chapter about Ethnomusicology from the classical textbook by J. Chailley (Précis de musicologie, Paris 1984). The first part (History of Ethnomusicology) by Claudie Marcel-Dubois is published in the fourth issue of Musicology (1/1986).
