Correspondence between Manolis Kalomiris and Yannis Christou

Three letters, two of Y. Christou to Kalomiris (16th March 1956 and 14th September 1960) and one of Kalomiris to Christou (5th October 1960) are documents of the friendly relations between two important composers of the older and newer generation and show the respect Christou had for Man. Kalomiris, the founder of the Greek National School. On his letters, Christou expresses his admiration especially for the Palamiki (Symphony no 3), but also for Romeiki Souita (Greek Suite), which qualifies as the first great work of modern Greek music.
