Byron Fidetzis

He studied music in Athens (with S. Michailidis and M. Kalambakas), and in Vienna (with H. Swarowsky). He has been musical director of the Greek National Opera for 15 years and since 1987 he has been the conductor of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Ekaterinbourg at Urals, Russia. He has also recorded more than 30 CDs and LPs with works of Greek composers. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Musicology.
