Markos F. DragoumisLaurentios Kamilieris in Bayreuth
In this article new information is given about the composer from Corfu Laurentios Kamilieris (circa 1875-1956).
It includes one of his letters to Marica Dragoumis (1846-1941), sister of the writer’s grandfather. In this letter the composer writes about one meeting with Wagner’s wife Cosima in Villa Wahnfried and his visit to performances of Flying Dutchman and Parsifal. Information is also given about a theoretical book of Kamilieris, entitled Principles of Music Theory (1902).
